John Cusack is in his forties and is still playing half-man schlubs who can’t manage relationships. His character Jackson Curtis is broken down, broken-hearted and just plain broke. His ex-wife Kate (Amanda Peet) has left him. His kids loathe his mere presence. In a way, this film is like seeing Better Off Dead as done by Michael Bay.

A case study in fear could be used in a positive way. You could set up a camera and get a bunch of people to tell you what it is that really fills them with dread, that one thing that happened in their lives that gave them so much trauma that it hangs around their neck like an albatross.

Watching "hit and run" is not a comfortable experience. Beyond the obvious gut-wrenching events of the film, it will make you wonder, "What would I do in a similar situation?" the story is pretty ambiguous which is good. you don't know who to sympathize with. Emser or the girl.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a film unlike any I've ever seen and probably ever will. A true epic that left me utterly speechless. It accomplished so much through such simplicity. Everything was top notch from the elegant directing to the subtly wonderful performances down to the magical score. The film demands you to feel not only for the death we witness, but for the incredible life we discover. It prays on the obvious morality issues we all deal with but also dangles the idea in front of us that everyone goes through the same joys and grievances, just not in the same way. This is a momentous tale that deserves nothing less than the title of brilliance.

I must confess that I didn't cared for watching this film after seeing the previews for it, my thought was "just another way for Disney to milk out their stars". However, recently I saw this movie randomly - and got pleasantly surprised. «Princess Protection Program» is undoubtedly the best DC movie I've seen, surpassing all their recent films like «Camp Rock», the «High School Musical» flicks, «Hatching Pete» and «Dadnapped».

As bad as this movie looked, I went into it with an open mind but as I suspected it was pretty bad. The dialogue was the worst part by far; it consists of some combination of mumbling and incoherent slang.

2i have to admit, i had my doubts about this movie at first. After reading the odd couple of reviews, i wasn't entirely sure if this film was for me. i am not a fan of horror and, like quite a few people i suspect, was put off slightly by the "horror" classification that most reviews seemed to mention. However, as it turns out, it is not like your conventional thriller.

We all know how the story of Hua Mulan follows that of other legendary folk heroes in China's rich history, and to date there's only a reference poem which accounted her exploits which stem out of filial piety, at a time in the Northern Wei state centuries ago when the Emperor decreed that all families must contribute to the war effort. Being a military family, the Huas have no male heir to represent their family, which automatically meant the aging father has got to volunteer himself. Rather than send her father to instant death in the battlefield, Mulan disguises herself as a male, and takes her father's place. That's basically the gist of the story, where she spends 12 long years at the war-front to the amazement that she was never found out, before returning to the gratitude of family and country.

When a TV series is being transported to the big screen, there's some expectations and worries lying ahead. "Hannah Montana", despite the hatred for the show, was no exception. But I'll guess this time worries was bigger than the expectations for those who really hated the underrated show.

Lots of reviewers seem to be griping about whether this works or not. Is it funny? Clever? Both? Or is the concept is too big to be successful?
